This webinar will discuss finding of a recently published study examining public attitudes toward restorative reproductive medicine (RRM) and in vitro fertilization (IVF) reported by two independent surveys conducted in the United States. The surveys also explored preferences among individuals with fertility issues and the general population’s views on treatment options. The authors will also discuss additional surveys explored during work on this article.

Learning Outcomes:

• Summarize U.S. national survey findings on public awareness, attitudes, and preferences regarding IVF and restorative reproductive medicine.
• Identify patient-centered factors that influence fertility treatment preferences, including desire for diagnosis of underlying causes, infant health outcomes, cost, time to conception, transparency, and informed consent.
• Discuss how survey findings may inform clinician-patient communication, shared decision-making, and education about medically sound fertility treatment options.
• Evaluate the strengths and limitations of the study and limitations of secondary public opinion data, and compare its findings with other public surveys on fertility treatment attitudes and patient preferences.
