This web-based course reviews the basics of protecting the confidentiality of participants in research studies. Registration is required, but the course is free. The course takes about 2 hours to complete. While the course is developed by the United States National Cancer Institute, its principles are applicable to all research with human subjects. The IIRRM strongly recommends that all its members complete the online course. Members of the IIRRM who are participating in IIRRM research protocols are required to complete this or an equivalent course before beginning participation.
