RRM Teacher Series: Neuroinflammation in Traumatic Brain Injury and Effects on Fertility
January 20 @ 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM GMT
RRM Teacher Series: Neuroinflammation in Traumatic Brain Injury and Effects on Fertility
Dr. March looks at traumatic brain injury (TBI) and its effect on future fertility. Research has also suggested that both male and female patients may demonstrate abnormally low progesterone after TBI, that teachers may be alerted to in their close work with patients. This level can be a prognostic indicator, as well as a treatment guide for healthcare professionals.
By the end of this session, the participant will be able to
- Define & describe the neuroinflammatory effects of traumatic brain injury.
- Define & describe the neuroprotective effects of progesterone
- Recognize & consider the possible impact of traumatic brain injury on fertility.
Approved for 1.0 Live, virtual CME prescribed credit.
