Fall Teacher Series: Use of at home urinary pregnanediol 3-glucuronide to confirm ovulation
September 18 @ 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM BST
Presented by Martin Owen, MD.
This webinar reviews the use and application of “PROOV”, an at home urinary test that measures the presence of progesterone in urine (or more specifically tests a urine metabolite of progesterone, called pregnanediol 3-glucuronide, or PdG) and how this can be used alongside Fertility awareness based methods.
1) Understand how Urinary hormonal markers may assist in increasing the efficacy of Fertility Awareness Based Methods
2) Recognize patterns in hormones involved in the menstrual and how an imbalance of these hormones can sometimes contribute to infertility issues
3) Advise women who are monitoring at home progesterone levels on how to use this information to predict ovulation , and use this information to assist with conception
