Advanced Restorative Reproduction with NeoFertility

September 10 @ 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM BST

Phil Boyle, MICGP, MRCGP, MCRN, developer of Neo Fertility, will run an 8-week online training programme in RRM with NeoFertility from Thursday,  September 1oth 2020 to Thursday October, 29th 2020.  This is a doctor training programme designed to provide a structure and format to help you investigate and treat patients with RRM principles.  Participants will have the opportunity to post live interactive questions during the sessions.

This programme has been approved for 10.0 AAFP prescribed credits* (CMEE/CPD).

Whether you are looking to develop a standalone RRM clinic, or simply looking to offer RRM as an addition to the other generalist physician services that you currently offer, this 8-week programme will provide you with a firm grounding in the science of RRM and enable you to treat your patients with confident expertise.

Programme Overview:

 

Session 1 - Thursday, 10th September

Review general procedures during the first consultation and the Medical Consultant Form.
Managing expectations and devise the treatment plan.
Set Goals with the patient.  Provide an estimated chance of success.
Review role of the Fertility Advisor.  Set the patient up with Fertility and a user portal. (www.chartneo.com). Review/order Ultrasound.
Review when Surgery is indicated and what initial treatments could be started.

 

OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • obtain a detailed and relevant fertility history
  • determine which initial investigations and diagnostic tests are indicated
  • determine and assess which treatments can be started after the initial consultation

 

Session 2 - Thursday, 17th September

The first medical review after 2 cycles: Multifactorial Medical treatment.
What now? Evaluated what is the next step.  Tailoring treatment to the couple.  Discuss how to work with the couple.
When do we consider mucus enhancing treatment, male assessment, surgery?   When do we count cycles?
Look at treatment plans for brown menstrual bleeding and PCOS.

 

OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • use and apply a Multifactorial Plan into their practice
  • identify key factors that impair fertility
  • determine and prioritize which treatments and diagnostic tests are required

 

Session 3 - Thursday, 24th September

Use and review of Low dose naltrexone – evolution, current practice, use in pregnancy
Listening to your patient.  Consent forms.
Sympathomimetic treatment: Who is likely to benefit?
Review treatment for low AMH, endometriosis, Auto-immunity.

 

OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the role chronic inflammation plays in both ill health and infertility
  • Explain and implement LDN treatment
  • Explain and implement Sympathomimetic treatment

 

Session 4 - Thursday, 1st October

Low AMH : review of all treatments. Analysis of data from low AMH patients.
Follicle stimulation, follicle maturation, ultrasound follicle tracking, sympathomimetics.
Case reviews.

 

OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the role and limitations of AMH blood test
  • Devise and implement a treatment plan for low AMH
  • Review follicle stimulation, follicle maturation, and ultrasound follicle tracking and enable the use of follicle maturation treatment

 

Session 5 - Thursday, 8th October

Male factor assessment and treatment.  Semen analysis with DFI testing.
Supplements.  Antibiotic uses.

 

OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Explain and implement Male factor treatment for infertility
  • Define and describe Mild, Moderate and Severe Male factor levels of infertility
  • Determine when a male is unsuitable for RRM treatment

 

Session 6 - Thursday, 15th October

Treatment for recurrent miscarriage: Concepts and treatments.
Adrenal fatigue, NK Cell testing, Thrombophilia and chromosomal tests.
DFI. Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy. LIT and KIR immune testing.
Case reviews and discussion.

 

OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the relationship between infertility and recurrent miscarriage
  • Identify and treat multiple factors that impact preconception through pregnancy
  • Discuss and review new and experimental treatments for recurrent miscarriage

 

Session 7 - Thursday, 22nd October

Pregnancy management: Value of testing triple bloods (progesterone, oestradiol and HCG). Role of DHEA treatment during pregnancy.  Predictive capacity of blood tests.
Case presentations.

 

OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Explain the advantage of triple blood tests weekly in early pregnancy
  • Explain the safety and necessity of DHEA at pre-conception and during pregnancy
  • Know how to minimize the risk of IUGR and premature delivery

 

Session 8 - Thu 29th October

The psychology of conception.   Therapeutic relationship.   Being real with patients.
Brief Review of some RRM publications.  Data Collection and analysis. Review of clinic Data 2015.
Key components for multi-centre collaboration.

 

OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Have an improved understanding of the psychology of conception and how to explain it to patients, students and colleagues
  • Recognize the indicators of stress in a relationship and how patients can improve them
  • Understand the key components of multi-site collaboration for data collection and how to help in data collection for publication
